A 10,000 L Dongfeng Water Tanker for Papua New Guinea
A Papua New Guinea customer requested a 10,000 L tanker for drinking-water supply and selected a Dongfeng chassis. The project photographs show the completed Tianjin-based truck in the vehicle yard.

A 10,000 L water-supply request
The enquiry arrived in June 2025. Alongside other project discussions, the customer asked for a 10,000 L drinking-water tanker and requested a quotation.
After reviewing the options, the customer selected Dongfeng and asked us to prepare the proforma invoice. The project specification names the Tianjin chassis with 180 hp.
| Specification | Configuration |
|---|---|
| Chassis | Dongfeng Tianjin |
| Engine power | 180 hp |
| Tank volume | 10,000 L |
The completed tank and chassis
The yard photographs show the tank mounted behind the cab, with an upper access rail and rear ladder. Side and rear views show the finished body arrangement.
A drinking-water order also needs the tank material, cleaning arrangements and required hygiene approvals to be specified for its destination. Tank volume alone does not establish those requirements.
Explaining the protective coating
The later photographs have a yellow cast on parts of the cab. In the August correspondence, we explained that protective wax had been applied for transport and could be removed after receipt.
That exchange helped explain the vehicle’s appearance in the photographs sent before handover.
