Before you choose an animal transport truck
Choose an animal transport body for the declared species and journey. Day-old chicks, livestock and live fish need different compartment and life-support arrangements; similar body volumes do not make the trucks interchangeable. Use the animals' size and count when reviewing the stocking layout, then assess journey time and loading stops in the expected climate.
Livestock and poultry bodies need ventilation and partitions suited to the animals. For live fish, review the quoted oxygen supply and water circulation alongside the water-temperature requirement. At acceptance, check the layout and loading method with the specified ventilation or water equipment, including controls and cleaning access. Check completed-vehicle mass, and have the responsible importer and transport operator confirm welfare rules and destination approval requirements.
