Specify how the fleet loads and secures each consignment
List side forklift access, rear dock use and any tail lift or carried pallet truck together. These choices affect openings, floor duty, completed mass and available cargo space. Include the delivery sites that constrain the arrangement.
An ordinary weather curtain should not be assumed to restrain cargo. If a rated complete body is offered, request its documentation and loading conditions. Partial loads and changing delivery stages still need an applicable securing plan.

Send pallet dimensions, masses, loading equipment and unloading stages. Require clear openings, floor specification, posts, doors and options in the offer, with the operator’s securing requirements resolved before purchase.

Common mistakes and what to check instead
- Assuming a curtain body includes all restraint accessories: List the required equipment, quantities and ratings in the purchase specification.
- Accepting a structural certificate without checking its scope: Reconcile body identity, components and load conditions before crediting the rating.
- Specifying only the loaded departure arrangement: Show how remaining cargo will be restrained and accessed after each major delivery.
