A HOWO 20 m Aerial Work Platform Truck for Ethiopia

Our Ethiopia customer ordered a HOWO aerial work platform truck with a 20 m working-height configuration. The vehicle combines the chassis with a folded boom, work basket and stabilizers.

The reference views show the boom above the truck in its transport position. The side view is useful for discussing the space occupied by the platform installation, while the rear view shows the basket and the supporting body arrangement.

For another order, the height requirement should be considered alongside the points that the basket needs to reach. A headline height is only one part of the platform selection.

Provide the height of the work and the horizontal distance from the place where the truck can stand. Include obstacles between the vehicle and the work point, such as a wall, fence or building projection.

Ask for a working-envelope drawing for the proposed platform. It should identify the basket load and setup conditions that apply at the required position. Maximum height and maximum outreach should not be treated as values that are automatically available together.

A simple site sketch can prevent confusion between platform-floor height, working height and the actual location of the task. Mark the vehicle position and the point to be reached on the same drawing.

Tell us how many people need to work from the basket and what tools or materials will travel with them. Their combined load belongs in the platform selection, alongside reach.

Describe the task and the access needed around it. A basket suitable for one type of inspection may not offer the space or arrangement required by another job. Ask for the proposed basket dimensions, controls and operating limits to be identified.

Any special requirement should be stated explicitly. In particular, work near electrical hazards requires an appropriate separately assessed system and procedures; it should not be inferred from the truck or boom appearance.

The truck needs space to reach the parking position and space to set up there. Give any entrance, turning or height restrictions, then describe the area available around the parked chassis.

Ask the supplier for the stabilizer footprint and the installation’s stated ground-support requirements. The working envelope depends on an approved setup, and the ground conditions must be assessed for the actual job.

The transport dimensions also matter between jobs. Request the completed vehicle drawing with the boom stowed, including overall height, length and overhangs.
