The T822 double-cab arrangement

Our Algeria customer ordered a JMC T822 with a double cab and dropside cargo body. The layout places a second seating row behind the driver and front passengers, with an open cargo deck behind the cab.

The reference photographs show the truck from the front and body side. They are useful for discussing the physical arrangement of a double-cab dropside truck, especially where people and goods need to travel on the same vehicle.

The photographs are configuration references; they are not confirmed as images of the ordered truck.

Start with the people who will travel

The interior reference views show the driver area and rear passenger bench. For your proposed chassis, ask for the actual cab layout and equipment list before approving the order.

Lay out the cargo body after the cab is agreed

Ask for a body drawing showing the clear deck dimensions, side-panel height, floor height and loading openings. Include any racks, toolboxes or covers in that drawing. Their position can affect both useful cargo space and the loading method.

Review the complete load on the truck

Passengers, bodywork, fuel, tools and cargo all contribute to the mass of the working vehicle. Ask which items are included in the supplier’s stated vehicle mass and which must be added for your intended operation.

The completed gross and axle limits should be checked against the cargo positions. A change in cab, body length or added equipment can change the available cargo allowance; it should be reflected in the quotation and layout review.
