A delivery crane serves two duties: carrying material and placing it. Crane mass, subframe, outriggers and mounting position consume chassis capacity and cargo deck space.
The controlling lift is often not the heaviest object by itself. Radius, height, obstacles, setup space and ground support determine whether the lift lies inside the approved operating envelope.
